The sunset sky was beautiful earlier as I was driving.
It was red, but that soft red in stark contrast with the grey, wispy scattered clouds. And around the periphery were different shades of orange and yellow that only serve to accentuate the reddish glow of the sky.
I wanted to take a picture but I was driving along the highway so I told myself that I’d do it as soon as I get off. And I just looked at the sky in anticipation, hoping that those myriad of colours wouldn’t disappear. I saw it transform, the grey clouds becoming duller, the colours fading into a more uniform yellow.
It was too late when I got off the highway.
It reminded me though of those missed opportunities in life; I don’t know why. I just remember thinking that everything is fleeting, that everything is temporary. You just grab those opportunities while you can, before they disappear.
I will never see those combination of clouds and colours again. It will forever be just a memory, a missed moment.
But you know, maybe there will be something better that will come along the way.
